Birla High SchoolThe Senior Secondary section takes initiative to form various clubs i.e. the Nature club, Social Service Unit, Quiz Club, Debating Society and Dramatics club. All the members of these clubs work in a close-knit manner under the judicious guidance of teachers.
Games And Sports
  Regular PT classes find their place in the school curriculum for we emphasize on – “A Healthy Mind in A Healthy Body”. Talented candidates in various fields of sports are hand-picked, guided and exposed to inter-school competitions in Volleyball, Basketball, Chess, Cricket and Football. Qualified coaches are engaged to augment the stamina and style of players who may later embrace a career in one the many disciplines .Inter class events in indoor games like carom, table-tennis, chess etc. are organized with great enthusiasm.

Sports day, a yearly event, provides opportunity to skilled participants to indulge in fair, free competition and win laurels rightly deserved.
Project Work
 
Vacations and holidays are well utilised. Students are given the scope to indulge in spontaneous, creative expression of the mind on specific assigned topics on different subjects. It offers them sufficient time to make models, files, charts which are the results of serious research work done by the students. Project work exhibition is put up with great enthusiasm and zeal.
School Magazine
  Birla High SchoolThe School Magazine ‘MUKUL’ true to its name brings out the budding talents into lime light. The creative spirit of the children finds a healthy expression through different forms and languages as they devote themselves to composing poems and writing on fictional as well as non fictional subjects. Humorous streaks are brushed in, in the form of light jokes contributed by the boys.
House System
  Students from VI to X are clubbed under six houses – Gandhi, Tagore, Ashok, Shivaji, Pratap, Netaji to inculcate in them a healthy sense of competition and a spirit of co-operation as well as coordination. Inter house competitions in Quiz, Debate, Recitation, Speech, Creative Writing, Declamation and Sporting activities capitalize on the staunch loyalty and devotion exhibited by the participants keen to establish the supremacy of their house over the others. The school environment is electrified with charged emotions when academics take a back seat for a while to make way for thrilling experiences.
NCC
  To promote discipline, leadership and patriotism among the students –the need of the day, the school has an NCC wing, affiliated to No. 4 Bengal Technical Air Squadron, NCC.
Excursions
 

The school encourages the boys to go for excursions and treks during vacations to help them inculcate invaluable qualities like co-operation, independence, interaction with peers and, there by, equip themselves with the ability to face the harsh realities of life.
