Future
generations would probably view this age in Dickensian terms
as “the best of times….. the worst of times”,
“the season of light ” as well as “the winter
of despair”. This age is an age of great progress and
of great conflict. To reconcile the contradictions of the age
and to build the moral fibre and social conscience of our children
we need to provide them with an education which will enable
them to walk on the stage of life as human beings. For this
we need to devise a system which develops the multiple intelligences
of caring, critical, co-operative and creative thinking. For
a global order based on peace, justice and equality, we need
to integrate the head and heart into our education system.
